This will be my third year as a 3rd grade teacher at St. Ann. I was a student teacher for 4th grade at Good Shepherd Catholic School and 3rd grade at Oak Hill Elementary in the Blue Valley School District.
Teaching Philosophy:
Effective teaching first starts with a passion and desire to want each of your students to see and know God. He is at the center of everything we do. I wholeheartedly believe that success in each individual student will arise when the teacher gives the student the ability to create, to make mistakes, to learn by doing, to grow in relationship with one another, and to create an environment where each student feels safe and heard. Throughout my life, the teachers that most stuck with me were the ones who were enthusiastic about their work. From a simple math problem, to the unforeseen ending in a novel, each one of them displayed a fire that moved me to want to learn. They continually reinforced my potential within the classroom, pushing me to be the greatest student I could be. This is the kind of teacher I hope to be for my students. It is a great privilege to model and advocate for young students, empowering them to embrace their strengths and abilities, and walk this beautiful journey with God.
