Teaching Philosophy:
The Archdiocese of Kansas City in Kansas holds a special place in my heart, as I grew up attending Nativity Parish School. I later went on to St. Teresa’s Academy for High School and KU for undergrad. I was blessed with an amazing education and overall school experience which I work to provide for my students daily. Now looking back on those years spent in Catholic education, I feel extremely grateful for my parents who made those special years possible for me. Thank you to all of you who have worked and made sacrifices for your children to be able to attend St. Ann Catholic School. I know it is a choice you make for your family and I work to honor that through a strong example of faith, a hands-on learning environment and a safe classroom they grow to love as their home away from home.
Passions and Interests:
Family. I constantly surround myself with family members and feel very lucky that we all live within 10 miles of each other. I have a younger brother and two older sisters who are both married & have blessed me with 5 little nieces/nephew. My family grew immensely last summer when I married Mike Chalfant. I gained two wonderful in-laws, 6 new siblings, and 4 more nieces & nephews! Mike & I love spending time at Lake Lotawana, traveling (well, pre-covid...), and golfing together has become a big hobby during quarantine.
Favorite Scripture:
"I can do everything through Christ who gives me strength" -Philippians 4:13
