This is my 5th year at St. Ann Catholic School.
Education:
I attended Holy Trinity Catholic School in Lenexa, then St. Thomas Aquinas High School. I moved to Tulsa, OK to attend University of Tulsa, where I obtained a Bachelor of Arts in History Education. I recently completed a Masters Degree in School Leadership at Benedictine College.
Work Experience:
I taught three and a half years at Union High School, one of the largest, public high schools in Tulsa, OK. While there, I taught all levels of United States History- ELL, Advanced Placement, and on-level. We moved to Kansas City in December 2016, and then in August 2017 I began working here at St. Ann Catholic School.
Teaching Philosophy:
I believe that all children are gifted with unique talents and skills that should each be developed and coached in the classroom. Everyone has something to contribute, and should feel valued and included within the school community.
Passions and Interests:
I love spending time with my toddler daughter, cooking and baking, and (when there's time) catching up on superhero TV shows and movies, and crafting!
Favorite Scripture:
To me, 1 Corinthians 12:12 is very comforting. I love the reminder that although we are all different, each person is essential to forming the body of Christ. All persons have inherent value. We cannot survive without others!
