As we prepare for Christmas break, we want to share our gratitude for a successful fall semester. Our St. Ann community continues to lift each other up in times of need and we are honored to be part of this community.
The lights on the wreath will begin to glow brighter as we look forward with joyful anticipation to the annual celebration of Christmas, when we recall the birth of Jesus on the first Christmas. We also look at the calendar and know we are nearing the end of this 2021 year. Reflecting on these two events, we want to express our appreciation to your family for choosing Catholic education.
Over 195 foster children will recieve holiday gifts this year, thanks to the more than 30-year holiday tradition of participating in the Red Bags KC program. Red Bags KC was started in 1984 by Daniel Jacobs, a former St. Ann Catholic Church parishioner and foster child himself.
I am extremely grateful to still be able to go into the classroom for lessons. Once a month I come into each classroom to give a lesson over different topics: understanding and naming feelings, friendship, I-Messages, problem solving, growth mindset, careers, stress relief, kindness, bullying, and many more topics.
