Guiding Principles for St. Ann Continuous Learning:
Prayer and faith are essential for all classrooms.
There will be a focus on the most critical learning standards.
Teachers will not overload students and parents. As recommended by the state and the Archdiocese, less is more. Quality over quantity.
Teaching of the essential curriculum will be a priority. Essential curriculum will include Religion, Reading/ELA (English Language Arts), and Math.
Ongoing communication between teachers and parents will be utilized to ensure that students and families are fully supported.
Learning will be adapted to meet all student needs. IEPs (Individualized Education Plans), CSSSPs (Catholic School Student Support Plans), and Minor Adjustment Plans will be honored during continuous learning.
Student Work Expectations:
Grade Level Expectation of Work Primary (K-2) 1-2 hours of engagement per day
Intermediate (3-5) 1.5-3 hours of engagement per day
Middle School (6-8) 2.5-4 hours of engagement per day
The term “hours of engagement” is not defined as time in front of a screen. That includes a mixture of on-screen and off-screen tasks that will help connect previous learning and spring curriculum standards.
