Spring Parent-Teacher Conferences are just around the corner on Friday, February 18. Spring conferences are optional, and can be arranged by request of the teacher or parent. Teachers will reach out if they would like to schedule a conference.
February is a busy month, with only 28 days we have so much to celebrate. We start our celebration with Catholic Schools Week, then Random Acts of Kindness week, then Valentine’s day, then President’s day, and throughout the entire month we celebrate Black History.
This Sunday, January 30th, we get the opportunity to keep Christ at the center of all we do as we kick off Catholic Schools’ Week with 9:00 AM Mass. Students attending Mass this weekend are encouraged to wear their uniforms to help represent our amazing school!

As we begin 3rd quarter our Cognia team continues to analyze data and goals for our school community. Through our last Cognia team meeting we set goals for our staff related to supporting our students’ academic needs.

As we prepare for Christmas break, we want to share our gratitude for a successful fall semester. Our St. Ann community continues to lift each other up in times of need and we are honored to be part of this community.
The lights on the wreath will begin to glow brighter as we look forward with joyful anticipation to the annual celebration of Christmas, when we recall the birth of Jesus on the first Christmas. We also look at the calendar and know we are nearing the end of this 2021 year. Reflecting on these two events, we want to express our appreciation to your family for choosing Catholic education.
Over 195 foster children will recieve holiday gifts this year, thanks to the more than 30-year holiday tradition of participating in the Red Bags KC program. Red Bags KC was started in 1984 by Daniel Jacobs, a former St. Ann Catholic Church parishioner and foster child himself.
I am extremely grateful to still be able to go into the classroom for lessons. Once a month I come into each classroom to give a lesson over different topics: understanding and naming feelings, friendship, I-Messages, problem solving, growth mindset, careers, stress relief, kindness, bullying, and many more topics.

As we approach winter months with the potential for inclement weather, I want to remind you of our guidelines regarding winter weather closings for St. Ann Catholic School.
After having taught STREAM from a cart last year, I’m happy to say the STREAM lab has been brought back to life and is once again bustling with promising and innovative engineers ready to be challenged.
It is hard to believe, in the month of November, we are already thinking about enrollment for next year! We are anticipating a great turn out for our Pre-K and Kindergarten Open House this Sunday!

October has been a month to remember! From our Fall Festival Fiesta, to The Little Mermaid, Jr., our School Carnival, Conferences, Faith Family & House activities, to Halloween Celebrations, it has truly been a blessing to come together to celebrate as a St. Ann Catholic School community!
